Cornerstone Home

[dropcap type=”secondary”]I[/dropcap]siah 61:1-5, “1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; 2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; 3To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified. 4 And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations. 5 And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.”

Isaiah is the chapter that inspired the birth of the Cornestone Foundation. This chapter talks about the emergence of the nation of Israel during the Millennium Kingdom. But these things began in the life and ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ, and began with the event of Jesus’ anointing on the Jordan River. The Spirit of God is the first Spirit of the seven Spirits of God described in Isaiah 11:2. The seven Spirits are represented by the lampstand in the middle of the Tabernacle of Moses, which consists of seven lamps. In particular, God is anointed to preach the gospel to people who are weak, poor, meek or humble
in heart. As it is written in

Psalm 25:9, “The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.”

Then the Lord God was sent to care for the brokenhearted, and to heal the sick with wine and anointing oil. How great is the need for this today, where one of two marriages ends in divorce. Heartbreak is increasingly happening with the sons and daughters of the marriage falling into sin at a very young age. God was sent to proclaim liberation to the captives, to break the shackles of sin, and get them out of prisons so they can enjoy the freedom that God’s children have.

The statement in the second verse is quoted by Christ in

Luke 4:17-19, “17 And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, 18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.”

Furthermore, the Lord Jesus said, “The year of the Lord’s favor” is the time when Christ existed, and the “day of God’s vengeance” is definitely the Great Tribulation. Those who have mourned for all the sins and abominations that have been committed (Ezekiel 9:1-6), and also in the church in the last days, will be comforted at the end of the Great Tribulation.

we put the focus on this mission in the form of an action plan by establishing Cornerstone Home (since 2009), a few months after Cornerstone Church was founded on May 3, 2009. Cornerstone Home is a “training house” not an orphanage, that’s why we believe that every children have been created uniquely and they need to be trained to rise to become leaders that God has appointed.

Those who are accommodated at Cornerstone Home are children from underprivileged families who do not have the opportunity to go to school. We accommodate them and house them from Kindergartden to Student age. The children are put together in one dormitory, with no outside care givers, but senior siblings, namely STTI-C students who are trained, are mentored to become
foster siblings.

All the Theology lessons they have received at campus are practically applied in the form of caring for their younger siblings, so that they are trained to become leaders in the future with real training. As a leadership training house for Cornerstone Home children’s activities besides going to school or college, they are required to fill out a prayer schedule per day at the Prayer Tower, read the Word and they are also trained in discipline to clean up each area of Cornerstone Home. Established since 2009, Cornerstone Home has succeeded in completing 4 children from the high school education level and 8 children from the STTI-C School campus. Of the 4 high school graduates, two have now joined as Church full time staff and 8 children from STTI-C, 6 have joined as Church Full time staff, and two have been sent back to their local churches in West Kalimantan and Maluku, namely in the Municipality of Ambon. The Cornerstone Home children are very talented, all of them serve God as God’s servants in Cornerstone Churh according to their respective talents.

[dropcap type=”secondary”]Y[/dropcap]esaya 61:1-5,”Roh k Tuhan ALLAH ada padaku ,oleh karena TUHAN telah mengurapi aku; Ia telah mengutus aku untuk menyampaikan kabar baik n kepada orang-orang sengsara, dan merawat orang-orang yang remuk hati, untuk memberitakan pembebasan kepada orang-orang tawanan, dan kepada orang-orang yang terkurung kelepasan dari penjara, 2 untuk memberitakan tahun rahmat TUHAN dan hari pembalasan Allah kita, untuk menghibur semua orang berkabung, 3 untuk mengaruniakan kepada mereka perhiasan kepala ganti abu, minyak untuk pesta ganti kain kabung, nyanyian puji-pujian ganti semangat yang pudar, supaya orang menyebutkan mereka “pohon tarbantin kebenaran”, “tanaman TUHAN” untuk memperlihatkan keagungan-Nya. 4 Mereka akan membangun reruntuhan yang sudah berabad-abad 4 , dan akan mendirikan kembali tempat-tempat yang sejak dahulu menjadi sunyi; mereka akan membaharui kota-kota yang runtuh, tempat-tempat yang telah turun-temurun menjadi sunyi. 5 Orang-orang luar akan melayani kamu sebagai gembala kambing dombamu, dan orang-orang asing akan bekerja bagimu sebagai petani dan tukang kebun anggurmu.”

Yesaya adalah pasal yang menginspirasi kelahiran Cornestone Foundation. Pasal ini berbicara tentang munculnya bangsa Israel di masa Kerajaan Seribu Tahun. Tetapi hal, hal tersebut di mulai dalam kehidupan dan pelayanan Tuhan Yesus Kristus, dan diawali dengan peristiwa pengurapan Yesus di Sungai Yordan. Roh Tuhan merupakan Roh pertama daro ketujuh Roh Tuhan yang dijelaskan kepada dalam Yesaya 11:2. Ketujuh Roh tersebut diwakili oleh Kaki Dian yang ada di tengah-tengah Kemah Musa, yang terdiri dari tujuh lampu. Secara khusus, Tuhan diurapi untuk memberitakan Injil kepada orang yang lemah, miskin, lembut atau rendah hati. Seperti tertulis dalam

Mazmur 25:9 TB, “Ia membimbing orang-orang yang rendah hati menurut hukum, dan Ia mengajarkan jalan-Nya kepada orang-orang

Lalu Tuhan Tuhan diutus untuk merawat orang-orang yang remuk hati, dan menyembuhkan yang sakit dengan air anggur dan minyak urapan. Betapa besar kebutuhan akan hal ini pada masa kini, dimana dari salah satu dari dua pernikahan berakhir dengan perceraian. Hati yang hancur semakin banyak terjadi dengan adanya ana-anak lelaki dan perempuan dari pernikahan tersebut jatuh ke dalam dosa yang masih sangat belia. Tuhan diutus untuk memberitakan pembebasan kepada para tawanan, untuk memutuskan belengu-belenggu dosa, dan mengeluarkan mereka dari penjaea-penjara sehingga mereka dapat menikmati kemerdekaan yang dimiliki oleh anak-anak Allah.

Pernyataan dalam ayat ke dua di kutip Kristus dalam

Lukas 4:17-19 TB, “Kepada-Nya diberikan kitab nabi Yesaya dan setelah dibuka-Nya, Ia menemukan nas, di mana ada tertulis: ”Roh Tuhan ada pada-Ku, oleh sebab Ia telah mengurapi Aku, untuk menyampaikan kabar baik kepada orang-orang miskin; dan Ia telah mengutus Aku untuk memberitakan pembebasan kepada orang-orang tawanan, dan penglihatan bagi orang-orang buta, untuk membebaskan orang-orang yang tertindas, untuk memberitakan tahun rahmat Tuhan telah datang.”

Selanjutnya Tuhan Yesus berkata, “Tahun rahmat Tuhan” adalah zaman Kristus ada, dan “hari pembalasan Allah” sudah pasti adalah Masa Kesukaran Besar. Mereka yang telah meratap oleh karena segala dosa dan kebengisan yang telah dilakukan (Yehezkiel 9:1-6), dan juga dalam gereja pada akhir zaman, akan dihiburkan pada akhir dari Masa Kesukaran Besar.

Selanjutnya fokus misi tersebut kami tuangkan dalam bentuk action plan dengan mendirikan Cornerstone Home (sejak Tahun 2009), beberapa bulan setelah Cornerstone Church didirikan pada tanggal 03 mei 2023. Cornerstone Home adalah sebuah “rumah pelatihan” bukan panti asuhan, sebab itu kami mempercayai bahwa setiap anak-anak telah diciptakan secara unik dan mereka perlu dilatih untuk bangkit menjadi pemimpin yang dirapi Tuhan.

Mereka yang ditampung di Cornerstone Home adalah anak-anak yang berasal dari keluarga-keluarga yang kurang mampu, yang tidak memiliki kesempatan untuk bersekolah. Kami menampung mereka dan mengasramakan mereka dari usia Kindergartden sampai dengan usia Mahasiswa. Anak-anak disatukan dalam satu asarama, dengan tanpa cares giver dari luar, tetapi kakak-kakak senior, yaitu students STTI-C yang dilatih, dimentoring untuk menjadi kakak pembina.

Semua pelajaran Teologia yang telah mereka terima di kampus diaplikasikan secara praktis dalam bentuk pengembalaan terhadap adik-adik mereka, sehingga mereka dilatih untuk menjadi pemimpin di masa depan dengan pelatihan yang rill. Sebagai sebuah rumah pelatihan kepemimpinan aktivitas anak-anak Cornerstone Home disamping mereka bersekolah atau kuliah, maka mereka wajib untuk mengisi jadwal doa per hari di Menara Doa, membaca Firman dan juga mereka dilatih dalam kedisplinan untuk membersihkan masing-masing area Cornerstone Home.

Berdiri sejak Tahun 2009, maka Cornerstone Home telah berhasil menamatkan 4 anak dari tingkatan pendidikan SMA dan 8 anak dari kampus Sekolah STTI-C. Dari 4 anak lulusan SMA, dua orang kini bergabung sebagai Church full time staff dan 8 anak dari STTI-C, 6 orang bergabung sebagiChurch Full time staff, dan dua orang diutus kembali ke Gereja lokal mereka di Kalimantan Barat dan Maluku yaitu di Kodya Ambon. Anak-anak Cornerstone Home sangat bertalenta, semua mereka melayani Tuhan sebagai pelayan Tuhan di Cornerstone Churh sesuai dengan talenta mereka masing-masing.
