In keeping with 13th-century tradition, the prophet Samuel presided over the world’s first university, composed of “sons of the prophets.” Held at colleges in Bethel, Kiryat-Sefer, and Kiryath-sannah (2 Kings 2:3-5). The Puritan Fathers of Harvard University accepted it without criticism. In fact, Nathaniel Rogers mentioned this tradition in his farewell speech at the Harvard Commentary in 1652.
In more modern times, the University of Paris (the Church’s First School) is the model upon which all the world’s great universities, such as Oxford, Cambridge, and Harvard, have looked. The University of Paris was founded by the Church, and all Masters and Scholars are priests or candidate for priesthood. Most medieval universities had a clear purpose as they sought to train students for ministry, and through the Reformation this purpose was seen as the proper function of a university. In the conception of the University of Paris, no land or buildings belong to the University. Teaching takes place in various churches (St. Julius le Paurve in Paris; St. Mary the Virgin in Oxford; Great St. Mary’s in Cambridge).
In medieval Europe, a college was an enterprise established within a university to provide accommodation and accommodation for small groups of students. By the 1600s, however, these colleges had taken on teaching responsibilities, and universities awarded degrees to those who met the requirements satisfactorily. One of the major struggles that took place over the centuries was between those who supported the liberal arts and philosophy and devout Christians, who quickly demonstrated that Aristotle, the father of philosophy, was a pagan. (Paganism) These devout Christians saw no reason to incorporate his teachings into their curriculum.
Cornerstone International Theological College are: to incorporate knowledge of Jesus Christ, to teach and interpret the Bible under the auspices of the Blessed Holy Spirit to glorify God the Father, and to know and teach His ways at all times. God has raised up Cornerstone International Theological College to become an extension of Zion Christian University (USA) to spread the vision of Zion. With God’s love, we strive to convey this vision to all of our students. Therefore, we propose a curriculum to teach the ways of the spiritual Mount Zion, namely the way of the Holy God as clearly stated in the Bible. Our goal is to provide
an excellent education in the areas of character, abilities (related to the Bible), and productivity, encouraging students to lead highly productive and purposeful lives by fulfilling God’s will for their lives.
The longing of Cornerstone International Theological College: to provide a spiritual vision to all of our students through our learning. First, we need to realize that God wants to instill this vision in all of His people.
Habakkuk 2:2 says,
“Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.”
We all need a clear, God-given vision to achieve God’s purpose in our lives. Therefore, one’s spiritual vision is very important. In these last days we are living in the end times mentioned in the Bible. Mount Zion is also frequently mentioned. And Almost all of God’s promises that will come in the end times found in the Church are related to Mount Zion. Mount Zion is: The ultimate goal of the church of Jesus Christ as the Apostle Paul said in
Hebrews 12:22:
“But you have come to Mount Zion…”
Geographically, Mount Zion is located southeast of the city of Jerusalem. In ancient times it was called the city of David. However, it is not the physical mountain that we teach, but what is symbolized for every person who believes in the spirit. To gain an understanding of the spiritual journey of believers, we need to study the journey of the Israelites from Egypt, through the Red Sea, to Mount Sinai, through the Desert, through the Jordan River, to the Promised Land, and finally to Mount Zion. This historical journey that was carried out thousands of years ago is a kind of our spiritual journey as believers from earth to
heaven, and from newborn babies in Christ to becoming mature fathers and mothers in the faith.
Many believers and even the Church are satisfied with their current spiritual state and are not progressing in their spiritual journey. Even as the Israelites did not stop, but continued their journey, we are also called to continue walking with God until we reach Mount Zion. We must continue to get the perfection of what God has provided for us. We believe God wants to give birth to this vision in the hearts of every believer. Ask yourself this question: “Where am I on my spiritual journey, and what is my vision?” Are you steadily advancing towards the sign of your high calling in Christ Jesus, or have you stopped halfway? Are you satisfied where you are?
Cornerstone International Theological College is dedicated to pursuing a high and holy calling. Ask God to reveal the best of God for your life. Our prayer is that wherever you are in your Christian journey, God will place a new progressive vision in your heart and that you will continue to walk with Jesus. Dear students, if you will give STTI-C the opportunity, the privilege to expand your education, we will strive to bring this vision of spirituality into your life.
Our goal is to encourage students to pursue spiritual maturity by teaching the truth of God’s word, promoting and adopting a heavenly vision, trying to develop a character of faith, and trying to prepare students to become leaders that God can use for His glory. The theme verse of Cornerstone International Theological College :
John 8:32, where Jesus says,
“You will know the truth and the truth will set you free.”
The institute’s degree programs are designed primarily for vocations of service.
STTI-C is dedicated to teaching the truth of God’s Word that renews minds and changes hearts. God’s Word clearly states that the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom and is based on the Bible that STTI-C teaches all subjects. Education not only teaches to influence the mind but also influences the life of every student. It has been said that “It is the teaching that will determine your fate.” Therefore, STTI-C strives to provide the best education that respects God and leads students in the path of Allah and towards a destiny that glorifies His holy name. Our prayer is that God will keep STTI-C true and faithful to His path and leadership and use STTI-C to prepare many people to live their lives to serve His calling.
One of the most important aspects of a college or university is its curriculum. Even more important than how we teach is what we teach. In Matthew 5:19, the Lord Jesus Christ revealed the importance of what we do and what we teach others to do. Teachers, mentors and educators are responsible for what they teach others. Therefore, by God’s grace, we must always strive to teach and impart God’s holy, unadulterated and pure Word of God. The word “curriculum” in Latin refers to learning that has a clear end and purpose. It literally means “to run.”
Habakkuk 2:2 says,
“…Write the vision, engrave it on the tablets so that casual people can read it.”
Through our curriculum, we place a vision and purpose before our students are convinced of Christ and filled with knowledge of His Word and the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit. It is not enough to know God’s Word; we must practice and reflect the beauty and nature of Christ in everything we do. This is the goal of our curriculum.
